it's usually for a reason. This week, I see something that I don't often see...a PLAY that is STUNNING!!
First, I am a Redskins Fan. I have been my entire life and I live in the DC Area. I listen to SportsTalk Radio, the Lavar Arrington Show and Steve Spurrier show. I think I've got a very good handle on this team.
This week, they go to Dallas to play the Cowgirls, my hated rivals.
HOWEVER....This week, the Cowboys will absolutely destroy this Redskins Team and here's why:
Betts and Candidate hurt. Skins will start tiny Chad Morton and Rock Cartwright in the backfield. Neither will be effective against this fantastic defensive line.
The Redskins interior offensive line is about as bad as they come and the two "Pro Bowlers" Jansen and Samuels on the outside are extremely overrated. While the Skins have good WR's, that is where the strength of Dallas' D is...Terrance Newman, Darren Woodson and Roy Williams are STUDS and will control the secondary. Ramsey will be hit often and hard...I only see maybe one TD for this offense.
Now to the defense: Champ Bailey is very good. The other side corner is in deep trouble. Fred Smoot has an injured sternum. He says he wants to play, but I don't believe the Dr.'s will clear him. His backup is R. Bauwman, who has been beat like a drum...but he's also hurt with a sprained ankle..so the third string options are rookies, who have shown their faces twice this year, and both times, were beaten deep, easily.
They've just picked up Darrell Russell. Maybe a good addition, but certainly not in his first week. Their LB's are good, except I think they're pretty stupid. All three All-Pro's make excellent plays and then a ridiculous personal foul.
Bottom line. The Skins will be beat soundly this week and I've only got to lay 4 at home with a far superior Coach and Team.
Dallas -4 *** GAME OF THE YEAR!!!!
